| Comments About Fees: | Yes, there are fees, but it's the ideal gateway to Cape Breton Island.
Port Hawkesbury is also ideal and has no fees at all. It is closer to the start of the Cabot Trail. GA aircraft BEWARE! I flew in on March 20th, 2011 to pick up my friend, flew around the Cabot Trail, dropped him off, and bought over $150 worth of gas from the airport. They charged me $75 worth of landing fees! I called them about it - they told me I'd landed three times and stayed for several hours (I'd landed twice and only stayed long enough to pick up my friend and get gas)! They eventually agreed that I'd only landed twice and only stayed long enough to gas and go (and reduced my charge accordingly), but they didn't discount the final charges a single penny after buying all that gas - definitely NOT GA friendly! |
