| Local Activities, Sights & Events of Interest to Visitors | There are many rare and interesting aircraft based at this field as Mr Diemert has a reputation as a prolific restorer of WWII aircraft. This field was also home base of the Defender "fighter" aircraft, which was the subject of a documentary directed by Stephen Low and produced by the National Film Board of Canada in 1988.
