Remarks CUSTOMS INFORMATION: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/listing/offices/office514-e.html Airport of Entry (AOE/15) open 09:00 to 21:00 7 days a week. No CANPASS at this airport.

PROCEDURES: Right hand circuits to runway 36. Night circuits - altitude 3400 feet ASL. Night circuits not authorized unless both hazard beacons and PAPI lights are operating. All night turns are to be completed within the perimeter of the hazard beacons due to high terrain. See VTPC map in the CFS.

CAUTION: Only pilots who are familiar with the local terrian should use this aerodrome at night.

CAUTION: The ground rises sharply on the east edge of the runway.

LIGHTING: 18 and 36 - TE and ME with P1. PAPI set to 4.5 degrees on runway 18 due to terrain. ARCAL 123.2 Mhz Type "K". RILS operate on high setting only. Taxiway and aprons have only retro-reflective markers, no lights.

The Atlin name comes from a Tlein, the Tlingit language word for "big body of water". The surrounding area has been used by Inland Tlingit people for many years and the community is home to the Taku River Tlingit First Nation.
