Bassano

The Town of Bassano is named after the Marquis de Bassano, a native of Bassano, Italy, who was a Canadian Pacific Railway share holder. Bassano was also the first RCMP centre in Canada for training their canine units. The first flying doctor flew from Bassano and the town has made history from then on. Today you will find a progressive community with friendly people.

Situated in the heart of Canada’s breadbasket, Bassano farmers product an almost unlimited variety of crops. Come and see our unique community. Visit with the locals and prepare to spend the vacation you’ll never forget.

ATTRACTIONS:
