Caution - aircraft on opposite ends of the runway may not be visible to each other.

Extensive parachuting activity on field most weekends, with drop zone along south edge of airport. April thru October.

Runway/taxiway lighting is solar powered. As such, exercise caution particularly in winter and more than a few hours after sunset, when the batteries in the lights may be partially depleted.

Be careful when taxiing on narrow hangar taxiway, due to rough spots and potholes.

Often quite difficult to contact anyone by phone. Call ahead to make arrangements if necessary.

Local Activities, Sights & Events of Interest to Visitors The annual fly-in breakfast will be held on Sunday August 9 2015 from 0700 to 1400

Other local events include a country jamboree, a trade show, vintage tractor show, snowmobile grass drags,Rodeo,Fair,Chariot Races and many more.

The town has a large recreation centre that includes a pool, hot tub, squash and raquet ball courts and exercise facilities.

The Westlock Golf Course is located approximately 4 km west of town. There are also several hotels and motels to choose from with most having their own restaurants.

The town participates in the "Communities in Bloom Competition" which makes the town very picturesque in the summer months.
