| Remarks | During WWII RCAF Station Mossbank was home to No. 2 Bombing and Gunnery School, part of No. 4 Training Command.
1940 Oct 28 1944 Dec 15 Aircraft flown Avro Anson, Fairey Battle,Westland Lysander and Bristol Bolingbroke. This was the local community's contributuion to the BCATP. No. 135 (Fighter) Sqn of Hawker Hurricanes was formed at RCAF Station Mossbank in June 1942. This unit served in Western Air Command at RCAF Stations Tofino, Patricia Bay and Annette Island Alaska, in the defence of BC. Today the airfield is abandoned but its one remaining claim to fame is that it is used as a "practice airshow airport" for 431 Air Demonstation Squadron (The Snowbirds)as it is located in their training area CYR 303 (restricted area). The Turvey Center located north of Regina Sask at the Ipsco Industrial area (Right next the Steel refinery) was a hanger building that was moved from Moss Bank. The building has been totally renovated and turned into venue that can host dances, wedding receptions, Majestics car club swap meets and etc, etc. Complete with a second floor balcony, a music or presentation stage, floors covered with wood, brand new bathrooms and a kitchen. Right across the parking lot is the ipsco wild life sanctuary. You can literary walk up to the chain link fence and be with in a foot of or two of deer, buffalo and other large wild life.
