DASH-L, operator of St-Hubert airport, originally instituted on May 15, 2005 a $10 landing fee for visiting aircraft under 2000 kg BUT with a minimum quarterly charge of $20! The new fee as of 01 Oct 2005 is a flat fee of $8.67 plus taxes (total of $10) per landing with no mininimum quarterly charge.

************************************************************
COPA has been involved in this issue since it first came to our attention earlier this year. The confusing landing fee that essentially amounted to $20 for infrequent users of the airport has been reduced to $10 through COPA's efforts. Although this is a step in the right direction, COPA continues to press for a better solution, such as has been proven at many airports across Canada. Eliminating the fee for aircraft less than 2000 kg would result in much more business for the airport, which in turn will keep the tenant businesses healthy, which in turn will keep them at the airport and, most importantly, generate rental and other income for DASH-L. COPA has informed DASH-L that if they wish to continue the fee for small aircraft, then it should be waived when other purchases are made, such as fuel or maintenance work.
************************************************************
Although you pay landing fees, this is still a great airport to land. all runways are in great condition. You get exceptional tower and terminal service. All the ground services you need and 20 minuts from downtown Montreal! All of this for $10, your alternatives are a much bigger compromise.
