Local Activities, Sights & Events of Interest to Visitors Nestled under the majestic Mount Currie is the growing village of Pemberton. Famous for its seed potatoes, Pemberton also hosts a wide variety of recreation activities including snowmobiling, horseback riding, skiing, golfing, hiking, rafting, jet boating,soaring/gliding and parachuting.

The Pemberton Valley and surrounding areas abound with natural beauty. We are surrounded by three of the most beautiful Provincial Parks in British Columbia. Also found throughout the area are many British Columbia Forest Service campgrounds, located on many of the back-roads in the area.

There are many hiking trails that lead to high alpine lakes, ice fields, and quiet hidden valleys.

Fishing on our many lakes and streams is a good way to spend the day relaxing. Rainbow trout, dolly varden and cutthroat are just some of the varieties of fish found in local waters. In the fall, sockeye and coho salmon can be seen spawning in many of the tributaries of Lillooet Lake.

The local hills abound with mountain biking trails. From easy going to extreme, there is a trail for every age and ability.

Pemberton is also a great winter playground. Snowmobilers can enjoy the thrill of alpine riding on the Pemberton Ice Cap. The valley has many cross-country ski trails, and Whistler Resort is just minutes to the south on Highway 99.

Pemberton is one of the fastest growing communities in Canada, and as such, many new and exciting businesses are developing.

Pemberton boasts two 18 hole championship golf courses, many trail riding experiences, jet boating, river rafting, airplane and helicopter sight seeing, and guided snowmobile touring.
No matter what the season, there is always something exciting to do in Pemberton. Your gateway to adventure!

For more information check the Pemberton Web site:

An absolutely beautiful place to fly to. 1 hour from CYVR, 1 hour 20 min from CYYJ (Victoria). Rugged mountains, alpine lakes and glaciers! Pacific Ocean within minutes!

Activities: Pemberton Museum, Pemberton Valley Golf and Country Club, Pemberton Soaring Centre.
Pemberton Taxi will pick up promptly for a trip to Whistler Village (around C$55.00) Sure wish that the Rental Car companies had at least a pickup service - know of a lot of private planes that don't go to Whistler because of this reason!
Pemberton Helicopters are no longer at the airport.
