Local Activities, Sights & Events of Interest to Visitors Killarney, Ont. is a dream destination for seaplane or landplane pilots.

Killarney, Ont. is a resort destination located on the north shore of Georgian Bay, 240 miles north of Toronto. The village is surrounded by the rugged landscape of Killarney Provincial Park. Visitors enjoy a rustic, comfortable environment and a variety of outdoor adventure programs. Excellent cuisine is available for lodgers or drop-in day-trippers. Paddle the aquamarine lakes of the park by canoe, explore the pristine waters of Georgian Bay, hike the white quartzite ridges of La Cloche Mountain Range and paint or photograph with professionals.

The airport is unattended but the unicom is located in the Killarney Mountain Lodge office in the village one kilometre from the airport.

Seaplane landings can be made in the Killarney Channel or Killarney Bay. Seaplane pilots should contact the lodge in advance for special procedures. Maury East(COPA member) runs the Killarney Mountain Lodge.
